KLAS Gives Back

KLAS is on a mission to change the world, mostly through improving healthcare. However, we also understand the need to help our community and influence those around us for good. We strive to be responsible and contributing members of our community. Whether by volunteering at a local shelter or planting gardens in Cabo, we feel that KLAS has the potential to change lives for the better.

Mexico 2017

This year, some of our team at KLAS had the opportunity to venture down to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, as we have in previous years. While there, we again partnered with the nonprofit organization Way Cool Angels and spent an afternoon planting a garden, painting a children’s playground, and helping to lay the foundation for a community-center building.

KLAS Celebrates 20 years with Service

In celebration of 20 years of KLAS, we went to the Provo Beach Resort—about the closest thing to a “beach” we could find in landlocked Utah—to celebrate and to serve. In all, we gathered and donated: 2 large boxes of fleece blankets, toiletries, notebooks, prayer chains, hats, and toys to Craino Care Bears; 40 “chemo care packages” to the American Fork Cancer Center; and 25 “bedtime bags” filled with blankets, stuffed animals, books, and toothbrushes for the Orem Center for Women and Children in Crisis.

Sub for Santa December 2016

One of KLAS’ favorite holiday traditions is our annual Sub for Santa drive. In December 2016, we were able to provide Christmas gifts for 50 children in need, in addition to donating another $1,000 to the Ronald McDonald House.
