Has the industry missed a beat?
“Fully integrated cardiology systems seem to be where most, if not all, vendors fail.” This statement, made by a CVIS administrator, illustrates provider frustrations with today’s cardiology IT offerings.
Department directors and C-level executives are trying to consolidate on the fewest IT platforms possible. Doing so in the cardiology department is notoriously difficult due to distinct functionality requirements from various clinical labs, the workflow needs of multiple users, and the IT demands involved with integration.
