KLAS is currently forming the KLAS EMR Improvement Collaborative with the goal of helping provider organizations identify areas and means for improving their clinicians’ experience with the EMR and ultimately improving patient care nationally.

To provide benchmarking across organizations, KLAS uses a common questionnaire developed within the collaborative to measure EMR satisfaction.

Successful EMR use—in which the EMR enables the delivery of quality care—requires high end-user adoption and satisfaction. And these outcomes depend on the efforts of three stakeholders: the EMR vendor, the end users, and the provider organization’s leadership and IT personnel.
