November 16, 2006

The 2006 Ambulatory/Imaging Center Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) report looks specifically at PACS in freestanding ambulatory/imaging centers. This is the third year that KLAS has covered Ambulatory/Imaging Center PACS in a report. This research continues to track an information system of significant importance to providers, improving vendor performance scores, convergence of PACS and RIS functions and growth in the number of PACS implementations in radiology and non-radiology diagnostic services and modalities.

  • Collectively, Implementation within Budget/Cost was the most common high scoring indicator, while the most common low scoring indicator was Quality of Training.
