Change Management Executive Forum 2024
Framework, Structure & Guidance for Effective Change Management in Healthcare Organizations
In healthcare, there is both a need and an appetite for standardized guidance on implementing successful change management. Organizations need strong, effective change management to build the foundation required for an organizational change, but that piece is often missing. Recent KLAS data shows that healthcare organizations most often report change management and adoption as the top challenge during an HIT software implementation (see chart below). Still, because it is not adequately understood or prioritized, change management is often one of the first things organizations cut. To help organizations recognize the value of change management and navigate these complex processes, KLAS held a two-day Change Management Executive Forum in November 2024, where nine executives representing some of the leading healthcare management consulting firms collaborated to define change management and build guidelines on how healthcare organizations should effectively and successfully manage enterprise-wide change.
