Data archiving has traditionally been viewed as a tool for compliance and long-term data retention in the healthcare industry. Recently, however, vendors have begun positioning archiving solutions as broader platforms that can support initiatives like advanced analytics and AI. This shift has raised questions about how much these expanded use cases are taking hold. To better understand this shift, KLAS interviewed 36 vendor-identified deep adopters to explore how organizations are using data archiving solutions today and where they are seeing value. This report examines how these organizations are moving beyond traditional use cases and the extent to which newer capabilities are being adopted and operationalized.
