Amalga predates the latest healthcare reforms and seems tailor-made to meet these needs, yet the platform has experienced halting adoption and mixed success and—to some observers—still suffers an identity crisis. Given Amalga’s potential yet lack of progress, KLAS felt providers would benefit from a closer look at Amalga’s story. We spoke with 16 organizations, representing 75 percent of live customers—in an effort to understand what attracted them to Amalga, what was delivered, and why some have experienced success and others only regret.
