Healthcare delivery organizations (HDOs) continue to report they have yet to fully recover financially to pre-COVID margins. Financial pressures in the form of narrow margins, staffing shortages, and rising costs are being intensified by the high level of uncertainty and nervousness surrounding rapidly changing regulations. Without clear direction on the near-term horizon, HDOs are being forced to act now. For this research, KLAS surveyed decision-makers at 169 HDOs (predominantly health systems, hospitals, and physician practices) to understand how they are approaching these challenges.
