Labor and Delivery 2010
Who's Evolving, Supporting, and Integrating?

September 22, 2010

Since KLAS conducted the 2008 labor and delivery (L&D) study, the healthcare IT industry in the United States has undergone significant changes. ARRA and its accompanying incentives have made clinician adoption and integration more necessities than preferences in providers’ IT purchasing decisions. In cooperation with the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and NeoNatal Nurses (AWHONN), KLAS sought to understand how these changes have affected the market for L&D systems. Has the heightened demand for integration found its way into the L&D market? What factors affect provider satisfaction the most? Which vendors appear poised to succeed in the next several years?
