Streamlining Prior Authorization Through Epic Payer Platform eMPA
Ballad Health was struggling to manage their prior authorization process and didn’t have the ability to invest in technology that would help them. Ensemble and UnitedHealthcare helped the healthcare organization implement Epic’s electronic medical prior authorization tool to streamline the prior authorization process and reduce the administrative burden for both the payer and healthcare organization. Using this tool has led to significant reductions in the time spent processing prior authorizations.
