Ultrasound
Waves of Change
No vendor has delivered the ultimate solution in ultrasound—a highly mobile unit packaged with deep image penetration and picture clarity. Mobility is becoming ever more urgent as patient care is brought to the bedside and areas beyond the walls of radiology. However, physicians do not want to sacrifice image quality, which historically has been traded away in exchange for mobility.
How are vendors approaching the issues of size, penetration, and image quality? Which ultrasound products are easy to use outside of radiology while still satisfying the demands of the department? For imaging departments purchasing new ultrasounds for general imaging, how do the options stack up in terms of reliability, functionality, and product support?
