Ongoing KLAS research shows that EHR projects continue to be a high priority for healthcare organizations across the world. In 2025, large-scale country and regional initiatives in Europe and the Middle East accounted for a sizeable portion of EHR purchasing activity. Yet, total purchasing decisions dropped to some of the lowest levels seen in the last five years, and the number of impacted hospitals and beds was the lowest KLAS has tracked in at least ten years. Funding for initiatives in countries like France and Italy was used up in recent years, and the global geopolitical and economic climate also likely played a role in the decreased decisions. Still, across tracked vendors, KLAS validated 189 decisions in 2025 impacting 447 hospitals and over 81,000 beds, with regional decisions in Austria, Belgium, Canada, Saudi Arabia, Sweden, Switzerland, and the UK. Overall, 35 different vendors in 33 countries and territories were selected.
