Payers and provider organizations work together to deliver and pay for over 3 trillion dollars of care each year in the United States. While this partnership in huge in size—greater than the GDP of all but 7 countries—it is an uneasy, often adversarial relationship. What could happen if these two parties were better aligned, with better trust and communication? Is this type of partnership possible?Â
Working toward these answers, KLAS gathered together several dozen provider, payer, healthcare technology and other industry experts and asked them these difficult questions, searched for instances of great partnership and identified possible opportunities to catalyze greater trust and alignment.
