2023 Best In KLAS Ambulatory Pediatric EMR

The landscape of pediatric healthcare has shifted in recent years. Grappling with changes in the labor market, many pediatric organizations are seeking out a simplified IT approach that enhances patient care and bolsters efficiency. Some organizations have started to consolidate or have already consolidated their technology stack to fewer vendors, with many leveraging more functionality from their core EHR vendors. For this report, KLAS talked to 57 organizations using pediatric EHR/PM systems to gauge their perceptions on the impact of staffing shortages, which technology is best suited to help, and what developments they would like moving forward. A follow-up report will examine the performance of pediatric EHR/PM vendors within this evolving market.

When making a core HIT purchasing decision, ambulatory healthcare organizations must take into account how prospective partners deliver across a variety of key technology areas beyond core EMR and PM solutions. EMR-Centric Virtual Care Platforms 2021

Though many ambulatory and acute care EMR vendors already had plans pre-COVID to create, acquire, or expand virtual care capabilities, the emergence of the pandemic obviously necessitated an accelerated development pace. Based 100% on vendor-provided information (not yet validated by KLAS), this report explores what virtual care capabilities are available from EMR vendors and how these solutions are being deployed. Many EMR vendors were invited to participate in this report; those who responded are included in the charts below. Part two of this report (scheduled for release later in 2021) will explore the actual customer experience for as many of these solutions as possible, regardless of vendor participation.
