Insights from the 2024 KLAS Emerging Solutions Report

To bring healthcare providers more transparency to the emerging technology space, KLAS has published more than 275 Emerging Insights reports over the past five years. But the goal of the new 2024 KLAS Emerging Solutions Top 20 report is to go one step beyond that to pinpoint which emerging solutions have the most potential to support the Quadruple Aim—improving outcomes, reducing costs, enhancing patient experiences, and improving clinician experiences. 

For the third year running, KLAS gave Emerging Solutions Top 20 awards in a special presentation during the HLTH Conference in Las Vegas. Read on to learn more about this report and this year’s winners.

• 49 industry thought leaders contributed their time to rate the emerging solutions KLAS has researched from June 21, 2023, to June 5, 2024.
• The reviewers also provided crucial insights on innovation themes, making the Top 20 report a great resource to get a pulse on what is happening in the emerging healthcare IT space.

How Winners Are Selected

Our approach to this report has been refined over the past three years, but we have always begun with a great group of industry thought leaders, many of whom have executive experience. For 2024, we were excited to have 49 participants reviewing eligible reports and offering rankings and feedback. (You can see the full list of participants in the report itself.)

To be eligible for the 2024 awards, an emerging solution or service needed to be reviewed between June 21, 2023, and June 5, 2024. They also needed to have a score of at least 85 out of 100. That meant that 24 measured solutions were reviewed in total.

Why Read the Report

As mentioned above, our goal is to give providers a list of emerging solutions that have a lot of potential to help with the Quadruple Aim. But beyond that, our reviewing experts also provided crucial insights on what innovation themes organizations need to be aware of as they seek to deliver quality patient care. I highly recommend reading through that portion to take advantage of their valuable insights. With these two elements, the Top 20 report is a great window into what is happening in the emerging healthcare IT world.

At the end of the day, the Emerging Solutions Top 20 report highlights vendors creating innovative products, and it gives KLAS a chance to recognize them and their efforts. We also hope that it encourages further development and problem-solving.
