Cerner, Sectra Receive 2018 Global (Non-US) Best in KLAS Awards

SALT LAKE CITY, UT, January 30, 2018 – Cerner and Sectra received top honors in the 2018 Best in KLAS: Global Software (non-US) report, published today, which names the top-performing healthcare IT software suppliers in global markets as reported by providers. Cerner won Global Best in KLAS for acute care EMR (electronic medical records). Sectra won Global Best in KLAS for PACS.

Regional category winners for global acute EMR are: Cerner Millennium PowerChart in Asia/Oceania, MEDITECH Enterprise Medical Record 6.x in Canada, Epic EpicCare Inpatient EMR in Europe, MV Soul in Latin America, and InterSystems TrakCare EPR in the Middle East. Regional category winners for global PACS are: Carestream Vue PACS in Asia/Oceania, Intelerad IntelePACS in Canada, Sectra PACS in Europe, Fujifilm Synapse in Latin America, and MILLENSYS Vision Tools Workspace in the Middle East.

Global providers are seeking next-generation functionality in their EMRs – such as population health management, and are turning to well-known consulting firms for expertise in implementing multiregional EMRs, according to the report. Providers are looking to EMR vendors for expertise in change management; and also for regional and global experience in training, governance and customization. For PACS, many larger providers are continuing to look at overarching vendor-neutral archive (VNAs) strategies as they weigh the benefits of a shared archive for all images, according to the report.

The Global Best in KLAS report examines the performance of EMR and PACS products in regions outside the United States, including Asia/Oceania, Canada, Europe, the Middle East, and Latin America.
