Optimizing the Nursing Admission Assessment Navigator to Improve EHR Satisfaction & Efficiency
Dayton Children's Hospital will share how the Clinical Informatics team worked with inpatient nurses, nursing administrators, and EHR builders to decrease the admission assessment flowsheet documentation burden on nurses providing direct patient care. They will discuss the intermediate quality improvement course that provided the framework for this exercise, and will review how this work impacted nursing satisfaction as evidenced by the results of the KLAS EHR satisfaction survey that was conducted several months after the project’s completion as well as how it impacted the time nurses spend within the admission assessment navigator.
