The Human Side of the EHR: Training, Tools, and Trust in Rural Healthcare
In this presentation, we will go over the journey we undertook while going from “bottom of the pit” in overall satisfaction surveys to a vast improvement, going from a NET Score of 14, to 35, and now 51 in just three years by strategizing not only our initial onboarding process but also how we present ongoing education that is so needed in today’s ever-changing EHR landscape. 1. Describe the importance of ongoing EHR education in maintaining clinical efficiency, compliance, and provider engagement within a rural healthcare setting. 2. Identify key strategies for EHR optimization tailored to the unique workflows and resource limitations of small rural healthcare organizations. 3. Recognize the relationship between EHR usability and end-user satisfaction, including how satisfaction impacts clinical outcomes, burnout, and staff retention
