Making Upgrades a Nonevent
Children's Health implemented a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) program to improve the EHR upgrade process. The SPOC program provides immediate, on-the-ground support to clinical and nonclinical users during EHR upgrades. Superusers—primarily nurses—are assigned to each unit or clinic and are trained to assist their colleagues with any issues related to the system changes.
