Enabling EHR Efficiency for Physicians & Nurses via Empowerment & Support

Clinician documentation efficiency is key in this environment of limited resources and high clinician burnout. Houston Methodist received strong scores in the domain, “This EHR enables me to be as efficient as possible,” with Providers and Nurses ranking in the 89th percentile Consistent communication, strong feedback loops to informatics staff and leaders and focus on continuous process improvement has resulted in this experience for providers and nurses at Houston Methodist. Additionally, our informatics staff deliberately round in clinical areas to gather feedback and informatics leaders offer open communication channels so our clinicians feel their voice is heard.
