AI that Scales: Moving the Needle on Provider Well-Being, Quality Improvement, and Revenue Integrity
University of Iowa Health Care & Evidently: KLAS Arch Collaborative Learning Summit 2026
University of Iowa Health Care and Evidently partnered to scale an EHR-integrated AI clinical data intelligence system from a March 2024 pilot to enterprise-wide deployment in August 2024, with gains in provider well-being, quality improvement, and revenue integrity. Evidently ingests EHR, HIE, and scanned/faxed data, maps it to a medical knowledge graph, and provides sourced real-time views, summaries, conversational Ask Evidently, custom summaries, and note drafting with human-vendor feedback. New capabilities followed in 2025, with bidirectional ambient integration and mobile Ask Evidently added in 2026. As an early academic enterprise deployment, the partnership generated lessons on trust, adoption, workflow integration, and EHR experience. Attendees learned a responsible-AI framework for scaling clinical data intelligence, its measurable impact on EHR experience and revenue integrity, and how physician-guided prompting can support care, quality improvement, and research.
