As EHRs have evolved, provider burden has increased; however, UIHC saw a notable improvement in its KLAS Net EHR Experience Score, rising from 54.2 in 2023 to 65.1 in 2025. The adoption of ambient AI through Nabla has been identified as a leading contributor to this improvement, with users reporting higher satisfaction across several EHR experience metrics. This session explores the evolution of EHRs and the growing burden on providers, the factors behind UIHC’s “big-bang” approach to ambient AI rollout, and Nabla’s perspective on the effective use of ambient AI moving forward.
