Beyond Ambient: Leveraging an Enterprise AI Platform to Transform the Epic EHR Experience
St. Luke's Health System & Ambience Healthcare: KLAS Arch Collaborative Learning Summit 2026
St. Luke’s Health System (St. Luke’s) and Ambience Healthcare partnered to move from ambient documentation to an enterprise clinical AI platform that measurably improves the EHR experience. This session shows how clinician co-design, Epic-integrated workflows, and continual change management drove ambulatory adoption and KLAS-validated outcomes. It also shows how St. Luke’s is now extending the platform across additional capabilities and care settings, including the inpatient area. This session included the following learning objectives: describing how St. Luke’s used clinician co-design, Epic integration, and continual feedback to scale adoption in ambulatory care areas; interpreting KLAS Arch Collaborative results comparing Ambience Healthcare users and nonusers across the EHR experience, cognitive burden, and after-hours work; and identifying practical lessons for expanding an enterprise clinical AI platform beyond ambient documentation into additional capabilities and care settings
