UCHealth’s Digital Transformation of Nurse EHR Education 2025
As UCHealth rapidly expanded, their leadership faced a daunting challenge: how to scale their nurses’ Epic EHR training program without sacrificing quality or increasing costs. The logistics of expanding nurse training across a growing number of care sites while relying heavily on in-person classes became increasingly unsustainable. Spurred to action in part by the COVID-19 pandemic, UCHealth partnered with uPerform to transition all training materials to a virtual environment, focusing on competency-based workflow training. This transition led to measurable gains, including reduced onboarding time and increased satisfaction with training.
