Mackenzie Health implemented Epic’s product as their EHR system in 2017. From the onset, clinicians were actively involved in the planning, workflow development, and scenario simulations. This inclusive approach remains integral to the organization’s practices today. Mackenzie Health views all changes to the EHR through the lens of the clinicians it will impact. Nurses, in particular, are engaged at every stage and are empowered to contribute to decision-making and lead in shaping their own practice. This collaborative approach fosters a positive perception of Mackenzie Health among clinical staff and reinforces a culture of shared responsibility and innovation.
